:( Are the likes of Ancestry and Find My Past also hammering a few nails into the coffin I wonder? How many researchers today would pursue the hobby if they had to go to the archives/libraries and look at census etc. on film and fiche readers like we did?

Such a shame, it's all part of family history research sitting in an old library, full of atmosphere.
