I cant let it pass without a word of congratulations to BFC, for beating another top team like Arsenal last night.
I do not myself go on the turf, I used to when I was younger, but it is so expensive now and I have other prioritories, my Son, Grandson and Daughter in Law are ardent fans though and they were witness to a superb game of football. Even though I do not go anymore and I do not follow footie, I cant help but feel proud of the Clarets, as they are the underdogs. So that is winning against Chelsea the other week at Chelsea and Arsenal last night at Turf Moor. So here is hoping that they win The Carling Cup, anything is possible. Three cheers The Clarets. :D

They did so well, they tried so hard, the game was just 3 mins too long.

Stephanie, did you hear Tony Livesey on Radio Lancs this morning, he said he hadn't been able to sleep all night, he went to the match, and visited the gents with 4mins to go, then he heard the Spurs fans. :cry:
I think it is going to be one of those "I was there when" moments. They had a capacity crowd of 22,000, can't think when that last happened.

The daft thing is that in most competitions Burnley would have gone through with the away goals rule operating after 90 mins. As it was, Spurs had 120 mins in which to get away goals, Burnley only 90 !

Anyway they did us proud. Now to the serious business of the FA Cup !

The butties are all packed up and the cauldron's bubbling away with a double helping of eye of newt.
Feeling really nervous now.
Come on you Clarets!

I'm "home alone" Maureen, isn't this exciting. Everything on the go, cauldron on a good simmer, doubled up on eye of newt.

I'm 'home alone' as well, and I am really really really excited and nervous, my Son, Daughter in Law and Grandson will be at Wembley they have got tickets next to the royal box, so they should have a good view when Burnley get presented with the trophy, my glass is going to be half full today, I have got my flag in the window, I am wearing a claret coloured top, radio is set ready, (unfortunately I dont have sky sports) but I have nosied around a bit on the internet and there are a couple of possibilities of live coverage, if anyone else has any suggestions......
Keep up the good work with the hubble, bubble toil and trouble, prayers, selling of souls, anything that gives Burnley the outcome that they deserve today. So lets dare to dream, Come On You Clarets. :wink:

p.s It is also 'The War Of The Roses' all over again innit.

Just in case you need it ladies

Round about the cauldron go;
In the poison'd entrails throw.
Toad, that under cold stone
Days and nights has thirty-one
Swelter'd venom sleeping got,
Boil thou first i' the charmed pot.

Double, double toil and trouble;
Fire burn, and cauldron bubble.

Fillet of a fenny snake,
In the cauldron boil and bake;
Eye of newt and toe of frog,
Wool of bat and tongue of dog,
Adder's fork and blind-worm's sting,
Lizard's leg and owlet's wing,
For a charm of powerful trouble,
Like a hell-broth boil and bubble.

Double, double toil and trouble;
Fire burn and cauldron bubble.

Scale of dragon, tooth of wolf,
Witches' mummy, maw and gulf
Of the ravin'd salt-sea shark,
Root of hemlock digg'd i' the dark,
Liver of blaspheming Jew,
Gall of goat, and slips of yew
Silver'd in the moon's eclipse,
Nose of Turk and Tartar's lips,
Finger of birth-strangled babe
Ditch-deliver'd by a drab,
Make the gruel thick and slab:
Add thereto a tiger's chaudron,
For the ingredients of our cauldron.

Double, double toil and trouble;
Fire burn and cauldron bubble.

Cool it with a baboon's blood,
Then the charm is firm and good.

I've got everything crossed!
