Friday November 1 1776

On the 17th inst. was married at Burnley, Mr. George Hargreaves, of Haworth Fold, near that Town, to Miss Betty Smith, eldest Daughter of Mr. William Smith, of Hill in Briercliffe.

Betty sister to William, supposed first pastor at Haggate Baptist. She and George didn't seem to register any children there : two brothers did. Betty born in 1746.
