Hi.

Wondering if anyone can help me with locating my gr gr grandmother's birth/baptism....it is proving to be difficult to find...getting the information I have so far has taken a while!

Her name is either Hannah or Ann Procter/Proctor born about 1825 to 1828 in Worsthorne. Mother was Mary [nee Heap born 1805 Extwistle] and father Robert Procter who were married at St Peter's Burnley in 1822.

Although Mary and Robert were married at the C of E St Peter's previously Mary Heap's birth had been registered at Haggate Baptist Chapel.

Nothing has shown up in the St Peter's transcripts at the record office for Hannah/Ann Procter [a lovely Lancashire lass looked for me as I am in Australia].

Regards,
Mia

Many thanks, Gloria.

I think I've been down these paths before, but, I will double check through all my heaps of paper, etc!!!
This person and her family are a bit more elusive than I would like.

They probably used the most 'convenient' place for registering births, marriages, etc...

Hannah/Ann Procter's mother was Mary Heap.
Mary Heap married Robert Procter at St Peter's C of E in Burnley 1822.
Mary Heap's birth, however, was in Hing Heys Extwistle and registered at Haggate Baptist Chapel.
So maybe I am looking for a non-conformist entry for Hannah/Ann Procter in the Worsthorne area.

It has taken me quite a while to get this far for just one particular line - I'm not giving up yet, though!

Regards,
Mia

Mia, have you seen Mel's descendants of Thomas Heap. Is that your Thomas, Mary's father?
