Hi There,

In my searching of the BDM/GRO indexes I find that a John Swinnerton married a Florence Evelyn
Atkinson at St Cuthberts Burnley in 1948.
I also found that a Florence Evelyn Swinnerton died in 1986 Burnley/Pen age 99. Born 9 Dec 1887
So this I assume would put John her husband born around the same time.

I have a John born 1880 Burnley who fits the bill perfectly. But it would make this marriage John's
third, after his two previous wives died.
Also it puts both John and Florence into their sixties when married.
How about that, can anybody prove this for me.

Thanks
Swinno.

I think the only way you'll prove it is to get the marraige cert or, depending where you live, go to the LRO and check out the church registers.

I looked for Florence Evelyn Swinnerton’s Will today. No luck I’m afraid.

Thanks Everyone,

For your time and advice, as this is not the direct line of my family. I did not want to spend out or visit the local record office, too far.

Swinno.
