Maureen & Graham, it looks like Olive Leaver (1816), daughter of Bannister Lever (1780-1839) and Betty Whitaker (?-1837), married John Nutter (1816), and Abraham Leaver was her child.

I cannot find Abraham Leaver (1839-1919) in either the 1871/81 or 1891 census, and I cannot find a birth registration for Abraham circa 1839/40. Also, it would be nice if there was a marriage between an Olive Leaver and John Nutter to confirm everything.

Kris, I've spent ages before now searching for an Olive Leaver/ John Nutter marriage. All I ever came up with was Alice Leaver/ John Nutter 6/1/1840. See my post 27/4/08 ( viewtopic.php?f=16&t=1129 ). It all got complicated.

I've got Abraham 1891 somewhere - I posted it recently, I just need to find it.

Hi Maureen, I thought I had read a post about this family, but I couldn’t find anything in the search.

Anyhow, after reading through your post again, I believe Alice and Olive are the same, and I am going to add this info to her name.

I wonder if this is him.
