Need to vent my frustrations.
I bid on a postcard this morning that was ending an hour or so after my bid. No other interest had been shown in it so I bid the lowest amount. I received an email at the end of the auction....
eBay Bid Cancellation Notice - Item
Dear eBay Community Member,
The bid that you entered for the item (**********) has been cancelled. You can view the reason provided for the cancellation by selecting the (bid history) link from the individual item page.
Please be cautious if you are contacted about purchasing this item after the bid has been cancelled and as always, avoid paying for your eBay item using instant wire transfer services through Western Union or MoneyGram as these payment methods are unsafe when paying someone you do not know.
Regards,
eBay Having looked at the item again, it's showing auction ended - no bids. I can only assume that my bid was not high enough for the seller and that they wanted more money for it. What I find most frustrating is that I cannot leave negative feedback for the seller who appears to have pulled out of the sale! What would have happened if I had pulled out at the end of it?
It was only a postcard of an old Burnley School Class but it's the principle of the dodgy dealing. The bid history explanation says the seller ended the bid because the item was no longer for sale - why put it on ebay then! Numpty!!
The 'powerseller' has 100% positive feedback but does not deserve it in my opinion!!
