242048 L/Sergeant Richard Bullock, DCM.
1st Battalion King's Own Royal Lancaster Regiment. Awarded the Distinguished Conduct Medal in the London Gazette of 11 March 1920. Bullock was a native of Burnley, Lancashire.

The citation for the Distinguished Conduct Medal published in the London Gazette reads, "For conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty. When in charge of a party during a daylight raid at Riezdwornage he displayed great courage and leadership, covering the withdrawal of the raid party and being the last to return to our lines. His patrol work prior to the operation was largely instrumental in bringing about its success."
The Burnley Express of 29th May 1920 reported : -
MOTHER RECEIVES SON'S D.C.M. HARLE SYKE SOLDIERS BRAVERY.
