:lol:C ame on the bus a couple of days ago, from Nelson, across the 'tops' to Harle Syke.
Sat next to a little lady, ( the one on the seat behind looked a bit!!! you know and I was right)

As we proceeded along the top road the voice from behind said, 'can't imagine why anyone lives here'
No reaction from any of us.

There are no shops and the place seems dead!!!

My neighbour could not contain herself any longer, I have lived up here all my life and it is a place of great historical interest!!!!!

Maybe, but Barrowford, now that's a nice place to visit, shops and places to eat.

My neighbour was off again, ' I'll have you know we have a great deal of interest up here and up to last year I was a member of the local hysterical ( yes she did say that) society, we meet and they are a nice refined group of people!!!

I liked her, no idea who she was describing of course, but she put the woman behind us in her place and when we both alighted she said, 'what's she come up for if she doesn't like the place?

Go get 'em tiger, my kind of senior citizen

Actually no, "me" is correct in this instance. You wouldn't say "it must've been I". Though I take your point, it would have been more polite to say Gloria, Mel and me.
