I know this new resource is exciting and something fresh for us all to get our teeth into but can I ask you to read the Ts&Cs on their website please.
http://www.1911census.co.uk/Content/def ... px?r=79&26

Detail from the 1911 census cannot be published on the forum. I feel awful having to put a stop on the info but as admin, I have to look after the interests of the Society.

I'm really sorry.

Am I right about this? On Findmypast, a 39 quid subscription will allow me unlimited viewing for 6 months of both transcript and original image? On a basic surname search I just discovered that there are approx 200 Redmans in Burnley for 1911 that could be of interest to me. 39 quid seems very reasonable/cheap to be able to view all those records. Is anybody else using this package who can confirm?

I am Rob. It's extremely good value for money. I have had unlimited access to the 1911 since October, images and transcripts. You just have to remember that you cannot publish any 1911 details anywhere. Kills me not to sometimes but rules are rules
You have to cancel it or it will automatically renew.

I see that Ancestry now have the 1911. I'm not sure if it is complete or if it will be a rolling project. The Genealogist have announced that they have also been granted access but as yet, there is nothing available on the site.

On The Genealogist I think you have to upgrade to Diamond.

I am on diamond Gloria....no 1911 yet.

I'm going back to Ancestry for a year when TG expires. I don't think I'll stay loyal to any one site now. To get the best from them all, it'll be a change each year....or 6 months subs perhaps.

Hello :)

Yes, I am still about.

At the moment Ancestry only have the 1911 census summary books online. Not a great deal of use as most of the heads of household are listed as Mr Smith etc.

Regards,
Mo

Pleased to see it :D

Thanks for that Mo. I won't be changing for a few months yet and I'll have to think about the 1911 sub I currently pay for when it is due for renewal. I think that is in April.
