I still have pictures to add but I think all of the school photos are now visible.

Thanks for sharing them Kris

Thanks Mel. I think you added all of them, except for the Lane Head photo.

The original LaneHead email must be on my pc (not the laptop). Will check when I switch on.

:o How do you source these things Kris :?: It continues to amaze me how you get all this info. you are a very dedicated guy.

Can't work out if this lot are relatives or not, perhaps when I get the Thistlethwaites out of the way, I will have a chance to dig out the File for Eastwood.

We have started my american cousin off on all this hunting. As I have provided her with all the Eastwoods we know of, she decided to search for her hubby's family. He knew nothing about them :? Well, she seems to have done well with a bit of guidance from me  . She found his whole family including a half brother, no one knew anything about , no I havn't asked if his middle name is Moses, but am baffled how people who are not adopted lose a whole family. They apparently find it harder to trace people in USA on websites, she said the UK ones are a lot easier.

There are still Eastwood's living in Worsthorne. My old mate Jeffrey Eastwood's mum was called Alice. I believe he still live on Water St, Worsthorne.

:? Unless they came from a family that lived in the Brennand St area, they maybe the original peoples cousins etc,

Haggate has a lot of them buried in one corner and I never have found out the connection, But it is such fun searching, like hitting your head on a brick wall, it's nice when you stop

Is there any connection between your Eastwoods and the Mr Eastwood who taught at Bentley St Junior School Nelson in the 1950's?

:?: I 'mislaid' many of them at about that time, he could be,but I seem to have exhausted all the clues, so who is still around in the area that I am related to is destined never to reveal itself.
I have only traced 5 of the seven people and the decendents to the current days, two are completely lost ( if Kris couldn't find them, they are lost  ) but 5 out of 7 isn't too bad.
