Not the birth, but is this her in the 1841? Where have you found the name Whittaker for the possible father?

Thanks Gloria. I need a couple of days to get additional info (due to my great filing system!) There were other siblings: Johnathan and another...?
Sarah names a James Whitaker, farmer as her father on her marriage certificate to Robinson Shackleton in 1860

I am looking for Sarah Shackleton's ( nee Greenwood) birth and burial place.

Found Betty, Sarah and Jonathan in 1851 so possibly my 1841 is not the same people. You may have this but it might help if someone else is looking.

Hi Gloria, Its been awhile since I picked up this thread but this Betty, Sarah and Jonathan are the only family I can find with a Sarah having the right dates. There were other good reasons to go with this lot too but I'm going to have to dig out my original research to find out just what those good reasons were!

Do you notice how John Greenwood was 1 year old on the 1861 and 17yrs on the 1871 ?! Very confusing

Glenys, on the original 1871 I think it says 11 for John Greenwood, the transcriber has mistaken it for 17.

I have looked in Burnley St Peters and Burnley Cemetery but I don't think she is there.
