Hi all,

I have a copy of the Towneley RC Congregation for 1820. This gives the names, ages and abode for about 269 members of the Catholic community who attended Towneley RC Chapel.

If anyone thinks their ancestors may be included I will have a look. Some travelled from as far as Todmorden and Rochdale. One day I may even get around to typing it up.

Mo

Mo, do you have access to a scanner? I have some software that reads text from an image.

In the meantime, if you spot any Sutcliffes, I'm always grateful for info received :D

Hi Mel,

Thanks for the offer, but I have tried OCR and it didn`t like it. By the time I have gone through it and checked/corrected everything I think it would be quicker to type into a spreadsheet.

Only two Sutcliffes are listed:
Ann Sutcliffe, 48, Burnley
Emmanuel Sutcliffe, 47, Burnley

Sometimes you get a better address and other times a worse one (i.e. Next to Meth. Chapel  )

Regards,
Mo
