I am in the process of recreating the Union Bank, Salem Chapel and various other unique buildings in the local area within a 3D program, its part of a personnel project to create them in their former glory.. I was wondering if anyone has/or knows of photographs that shows detail of the original cast iron railings around the sides of the Union Bank and if the windows dropped down another level?

Thanks Graeme

I have been in contact with Nelson library but I find they have a limited resource regarding certain buildings.. also they are charging far too much for just a photocopy of a photocopy :) plus there seems to be a lot of red tape before you can even get the copy you wish for.. so I gave up on that resource. I understand the majority of photos have been donated by the local community, so it does annoy me that they cannot have they same awareness about sharing the wealth for other peoples pleasure & activities. I guess if they are being used for a commercial venture then the owner of the photograph should be funded in some way...
Certain books I have purchased do have the much needed details.. but :) they have had halftone screening with being in print and are too small.

Thanks for your reply Graeme

Graeme,
it might be worth putting the same question on www.oneguyfrombarlick.co.uk there are a few local historians on there who may be able to help.
