HELLO DESCENDANTS NEAR AND FAR,
trying to trace family of HENRY STANWORTH, who was killed in WW1. He is buried alongside his comrades 3km outside YPRES cathedral, Belgium at TALANA FARM cemetry.
Spookily he resembles my son in looks....I have a strong feeling Henry is my grandad George (Henry also!) Stanworth's cousin. Soldier Henry lived on Grey Street, Burnley.
Hopefully, on a future visit to Ypres i am going to see if we can get a Taxi to the Cemetry to put flowers on his grave...
Carol.

I don't know if there is one but I cannot find a marriage for Henry. I have found one for Louisa---see below

Hello Gloria,

Thanks for replying about my relatives re:- soldier Henry Stanworth. Yes, his parents were Albert and Ada!
I happened to find Henry purely by accident on Google.A marvellous article had been reproduced from a Burnley newspaper including a photo cutting. reporting his death. His cousin, my grandad, George, never talked about his experiences in that disgusting war, so donkeys years later i find out about this young man who was a bit of a poet and musician by all accounts. MY Farmer grandad married Ada Greenwood and had my Dad Winston and uncle Jim.....all gone now, sadly...They lived at an Intack(?) farm somewhere up on the Kebs. I reckon my dad and uncle had a carefree childhood well, only after washing 200 eggs of a night ready for Burnley market. He told us many tales of being snowed in up there and not getting to the poor hens for a week or so. Phwoar the stink of cooped up chickens must have been absolutely horrendous...
He moved to Blackpool after surviving the 2nd World War, married and had my brother and me. He had a tyre dealership for many years putting tyres on once for Tom Jones, Englebert Humperdink and Vince Hill. The laugh was he had no idea who they were!!
I would dearly love to be in contact with any of Albert & Ada descendants. live in hope eh??
carol.
