I came across a link to a free trial of the on-line Times Newspaper digital archive ...

at this address:

http://infotrac.galegroup.com/itweb/free4_tda

word to use as password: trial

have a search around -

I didn't find much - fortunately? my family seldom made the news..

I did come across a very sad tale of the death of a Sarah Stuttard - killed by her drunken? husband.. James Stuttard .. son of a Hartley Stuttard

you can find it yourself - or maybe this link will work:

http://callisto.ggsrv.com/imgsrv/WrapPD ... CT27-006-F

a search for murder and burnley brings up a couple of interesting but tragic tales ..

good luck

robert
