I came across a recycled foundation stone that clearly came from the St Aidans Mission Rooms situated in Canal St Burnley (adjacent to King St. but now demolished and under the superstore on Queens Lancashire Way. (co-ord 383715 432545) This stone bore the Inscription.
" Parish of Holy Trinity"
" S.Aidans Mission Room"
"Built 1895, Enlarged 1909"
It also carried three symbols. 1, The star of David. 2, A Celtic Cross. 3, The Chi-Rho (P with X).
Can anyone enlighten me about this particular mission room.

Plaques has kindly sent an image of the stone. It can be viewed at this link http://briercliffesociety.co.uk/Photo%2 ... 0Aidan.htm

As usual Ken Spencer (Burnley Library) was able to point me at a book written by Stephen Martin Child. Ref: From Saint Peter's to Saint Mark's. (A History of the Anglican Churches of Burnley). The book shows a picture of St Aidan's before it was demolished in 1988. Thank you to all that have viewed this subject.
