Does anybody have any info on this school, when was the photo on you tube taken. My Grand parents were brought up in Brierfield, during the start of the 20th century. My Grandfather was the youngest of nine kids. This means that there could easily be one of his siblings in that photo. They were staunch Wesleyan Methodists and lived on Railway View.

Any info or other photos, please contact me. Any info on the school would also be useful.

It would be difficult to date it exactly but, judging by the dress, I would say it was early 1900's.

Hi, there is a photo of my grandparents wedding in 1910 and the fashion is the same, there is also a booklet with history of Brierfield written by one of the Society members.
I have sent my copy to relatives in USA, but my mothers parents were both from Brierfield and worked at the mill.

I will try to remember the name of the booklet, maybe someone else will beat me to it.
