Greetings Stanworth researchers.
I have rewritten the Stanworth page on my website at
http://www.thornber.net/famhist/htmlfil ... worth.html and added a new section looking at ancestors of the Henry Stanworth who married Mary Duerden. This potentially takes the line back through Henry Stanworth and Ellen Butterworth, then William Stanworth and Alice Parker, then John Stanworth and Grace Lawson, then John Stanworth and Elizabeth to John Stanworth and Ellin. There are still uncertainties because of the number of popular Christian names used. However, putting this new data together has produced some rationalization of what was a very complicated story. There is also shown now a family tree starting with Henry Stanworth who married Ann Bulcock, at St. Mary's, Newchurch in Pendle on 31 December 1778.
My collection of Stanworth data is shown on a separate page at
http://www.thornber.net/famhist/htmlfil ... orth2.html I have added some marriages and burials from Worsthorne
I would be very grateful if any of the Stanworth researchers on this forum could confirm or disprove any of the links that I have made. Any additional data or corrections to what I have so far would be most welcome. My collection of Stanworth events at St. Peter's, Burnley may be incomplete as I recall that the microfilm at Burnley Library was often hard to read for the 18th century.
