Saturday's Storm
It transpires that the thunderstorm that passed over Nelson on Saturday morning was rather serious. A cow belonging to Mr. James Hartley, Stoney Rakes Farm was killed on Catlow Bottoms, while at Cockden the lightening struck a house and broke the windows, besides doing other damage.
