Does anyone know where Hawk's Terrace was ?
It had 5 residents in 1896 [Hist Directories] and more in the 1st half of C20 [Google]. Was it near Hawk's House?
If so, my guess is that it is the only terrace of any size in 1893 at G.R. 846360 in Burnley Road, NE of the junction with Reedley Road.
A Bannister Halstead was living at 26 Hawk's Terrace when he died in 1925, and was said to have built a house for himself c.1915 called Greenfield or Greencliffe, probably close by. Any information?

Location: Near Chorley
There's Greenhead Manor near the top of GreenHead Lane.

Hawks Terrace was just above the old Reedley Courts towards Brierfield.

Thank you, Gloria, but I don't think it was Greenhead.

Thank you too, Plaques, I have at last found the Courts, and have been struggling on Street View to read the names of the terraces and the streets.

I have north to south:
Reedley Road
Reedley Terrace
Carsdale Avenue
?Hawk’s Terrace?
(road to garages)
?????? Terrace
Swaledale Avenue
Courts.

Is Hawk's the middle terrace of the three?

Greenfield House. I don't think I can really help but if it was built about 1915's it would have probably lost its name to a more recently developed Road name. In this case the only hope is that he had its name on the gate stones. The only "Greenfield House" actually two in the same place are down Greenfields Rd Colne towards Whitewalls Dr. These look very old houses probably about 1860's. You can see them as a plan view on Google set back from Greenfield Rd. towards the river.

You've got it. The other is actually "Ashfield Grove 1894.

Image of Hawks Terrace below. Sometimes I forget where I've put things.
