'Pasture' I think is as Best Pasture farmhouse across the road from the Craven Heifer (well it was !), may have been 'West Pasture' earlier, all rather confusing. That immediate area also known as Lacycall (Lassycall, etc). The online indexes to the births at Haggate Baptist will show most of these names (up to c.1837), and indeed indicate their interchangeability, by tracing families.

That's what I'm trying to do, working out Burrows, Jacksons, Emmetts and Emmotts - they all seem to be related to each other, and as far as I can see, live next door (nearly) to each other! I was trying to work out who was where with whom, when...... As usual, ending up down interesting sidetracks! Thanks, all.
