I am trying to locate school photographs or memories of my mother, Christine Flanagan, born 17 June 1956. She has confirmed that she attended Mansfield Secondary Modern School in Brierfield, probably between approximately 1970 and 1972, when she was aged 14–16. She had been born Christine Curtis but was already using the surname Flanagan by the time she attended Mansfield.

I would be extremely grateful for help locating: class or form photographs from 1970–72; school-leaving photographs; productions, choirs, sports teams or other group photographs; school magazines or prizegiving programmes; or former pupils who may remember Christine.

I have also found the Burnley Civic Trust photograph entitled “Market Singers,” dated 18 December 1971, reference BE71ng49616_a. Its caption says pupils from Mansfield School participated, although they are not individually named. I wondered whether members of your society might recognise any of the pupils.

After leaving school, Christine became a cadet nurse at Burnley General Hospital at around 16.
