While I knew that Eric Knowles was born in Nelson, I recently discovered that he started out at Herbert Sutcliffes antique place in Briercliffe!

Apparently there has been an article about Eric in a Lancashire magazine recently.

Shame on you Kris!

I met Eric last year when he was doing a book signing here in the potteries. I know he must have a 'public face' but he seemed a genuinely nice guy.

I didn't know then that he started out at Sutcliffes or I would have quizzed him!!

David, the article you have linked to for the girl, I think that is the same magazine that features the article on Eric.

I knew Eric worked at Sutcliffes Antiques. Sorry Mel I should have told you. He is passionate about Extwistle Hall as he used to play there as a child.

THERE YOU GO!!
Someone like that to spearhead a campaign...with all his connections....wow!! Duke of Edinurgh....probably Prince Charles...and on down the line.....

This could grow into a world-wide story....money would come pouring in on Eric's sayso.
(Too bad Anne has claimed the name Pollyanna...fits me also!)

Not a problem, I've done it myself.
The Barracks murder is one of them. I have the East Lancs murder book and never gave it a thought when Kris raised his query.

Eric is giving a talk at the city centre here in Stoke on Trent on May 1st.
It's just a shame he will be talking mostly about pottery, not my favourite topic
