Hiya Kris, I have had a look on my St Peter's CD of Burials and MI's. All the list that you want says they have an MI, but when you go onto the MI Index there are only 4 listed, none of them are the ones that you want, but here they are anyway. 1.MARIA SIMPSON, Aged 19, Died June 1st 1843. 2. In memory of DORATHY, the wife of WILLIAM SIMPSON, who died June 23rd 1832, aged 53 years. Also the above named WILLIAM SIMPSON, who died June 10th 1833, aged 57 years. Also THOMAS SIMPSON, their grandson, who died April 21st 1833, aged 15 months. Also MATILDA MARGARET SIMPSON, their granddaughter, who died Sept 3rd 1834, Aged 5 years, 6 months and 17 days. "Go home my friends and shed no tears, Here we must lay till Christ appears." 3. (Headstone) SARAH the daughter of ANTHONY and JULIA SIMPSON, who departed this life February 19th 1840, Aged 1 year. The 4th one is a grave for the LEACH family with an ANNE, wife of RALPH SIMPSON and daughter of the above, who died November 22nd 1913 in her 69th year. That is it Kris, there are no more MI's listed at St. Peter's Church Graveyard, as far as the list goes. Dont know why it says that there are MI's for all them of yours, perhaps the graves cant be seen anymore!
Stephanie.

Can I just raise the copyright issue again...I don't like to harp on but as this forum is in the public domain, I have to point these things out.

Stephanie, I wasn't having a dig at you. If it says nothing on the disc then there is not a problem. I have to raise the issues as I am admin of the forum...I don't necessarily agree with the rights and wrongs. Much of the the info is available in the libraries also and there is nothing stopping people from going there and jotting down the same information.

No, nothing wrong at all Stephanie.

I'm just being over cautious as admin.

Could you PM the details of the disc you referred to please. Both Kris and I think we have this disc but neither of us can see the entry for Maria Simpson.

That Maria Simpson Kris is the memorial stone I got a pic of yesterday I have just enlarged it and she was 19 years when she died so at least we have got her sorted. It looked like 10 years of age at first gl;ance as it was quite well worn.

I found all these deaths on Lancashire bmd. I suspect they are the children of Alice Hall (nee Simpson) who married William Shackleton in 1866.

1854:
HALL - Sarah Shackleton, aged 0, registered at Burnley, records at Preston BU/24/93

1859:
HALL - Thomas Shackleton, aged 0, registered at Burnley, records at Preston BU/34/1

1861:
HALL - John William Shackleton, aged 0, registered at Burnley, records at Preston BU/38/47

1863 :
HALL - William Shackleton, aged 0, registered at Burnley, records at Preston BU/41/85

How sad.
