This is a burial list that I need to look at, about 1939 for a John Stable(s). He was married in this church, thank you for the hint. Can I add a copy of the photo to his record on my webpage?

Stanley Challenger Graham from the OGFB forum sent me an email this morning with this information. Thanks Stanley

Dear Stanley,

I was interested to read your blog about the Phoenix Foundry on the oneguyfrombarlick site. Attached is a photo of their name cast into the (bronze) bell at St Luke\'s, Brierfield; there is an identical bell at St Paul\'s, Little Marsden, dated 1873, but no other bells from Phoenix have been found in surveys of the region which have now been completed. The bells weigh about 4 cwt and have tones as reasonable as those produced by the professional bell-founders of the day - quite an achievement.

Regards,
John Greenhough
