Not sure what the question was, which was posted by Leaver.
I've only just visited this interesting site now that I do not live in Briercliffe anymore!
I was the owner of Stephen Hey Farm from 1997 until 2007. Loved the house and was very sad to leave but the children had grown up and we had done all we could to improve it. One question we were asked most often was 'Why is it called Stephen Hey Farm?' To this day, we have no idea! I would love to know if anyone has the answer. We still love the place and everyone around Briercliffe/Thursden was lovely.

Hi Rosawol, welcome to the site!

My distant relation, Daniel Lever, was born at this house in 1841, and that is what my post referred to.

Hi Rosawol, welcome to the forum.

I've had a look in Rogers book but there is no mention of Stephen Hey. I'll make a not and ask when I speak to him.
