HOLGATE Marjorie On Monday, February 4th, 2008, Marjorie, aged 82 years, the very dearly loved sister of Dorothy. Funeral service and interment will take place at St James Church, Briercliffe on Wednesday, February 13th at 10-45 a.m. Flowers and inquiries to Hartley Foulds Funeral Service, 230 Colne Road, Burnley. Tel. 01282 831854.

Tuesday November 1 1892

Sudden Death

On Sunday afternoon during divine service at Trawden Wesleyan Chapel, near Colne, Henry Holgate, aged 53 years, cotton manufacturer, of Colne-road, Trawden, died suddenly. The painful event caused much commotion amongst the worshippers, and the service was brought to an abrupt conclusion.
