Soldier's Death
Mr. and Mrs. Atkinson, of Burnley-road, Briercliffe, had a sudden and severe shock this week when they learned that their son Rennie had died in hospital at Oswestry. He only joined up about a fortnight ago and was laid up with sickness last week. He was never a strong lad and for many years had been unable to work in the mill.1901 Census
