Lane Bottom Omnibus Service
This service commenced last Saturday, and proved a great convenience, not only to the local residents but to the people from other districts. It is an easy means of reaching Catlow Bottoms and other places of popular resort in the neighbourhood. Many hundreds of people were carried during the week-end, and on Whit-Monday the service had to be strengthened to meet the demands of the traffic. This service illustrates one of the useful features of the omnibus - connecting with the tramway cars at a terminus and communicating with the districts beyond.
