BRIERCLIFFE.
MUSICAL SERVICE.- On Sunday evening a musical service was given in the Haggate Baptist School by the chapel choir, assisted by a string band, under the leadership of Mr. A. Leaver, choirmaster. The service consisted of selections from Handel’s “Judas Maccabeus,” there being rendered ten choruses, ten recites, seven airs, three ducts, and one trio. The principals were Miss. M. Greenwood, Miss. L. Shackleton, Mr. R. T. Foster, and Mr. W. Burrows all members of the choir, and accompanist, Miss H. Atkinson. The schoolroom was well filled.
