Went for a meal at the Hare and Hounds. It was excellent. Good food, good service and very reasonably priced. I'd recommend it. The views from the restaurant are amazing.

The Briercliffe Society had their annual "DO" there, mother-in-law went and really enjoyed it.

Had a bar snack this lunchtime. Very nice it was too.

Mel, were you naughty and climbed over the fence into the old part of the churchyard at Haggate? We did, its a bit treacherous, with fallen grave stones and holes everywhere. Daft as it sounds, we went when there was a bit of snow about, so it was difficult to see where you were treading, I spent most of my time saying "sorry" for stepping in the wrong place. I will probably get my hands slapped for that.

Not this time Gloria but before it was fenced off we went down that part. Obviously the chapel was still standing then.
Between you and me, if I want to get all of the stones on the site then I will have to do it eventually but it will be easier in the winter when the grass has died back. I think if I don't then Kris will as he is desperate to try out his new posh camera. I might let him do it as his camera is far better than mine.
Are you listening Kris, it's high time you headed north again, you've haven't been for far too long!!!

I always thought the chapel was a very cold looking place on the skyline, not welcoming at all. Give me a shout if you are ever up there during the week, I will meet you if I can.

Cheers Gloria, it won't be for at least another month. We are off to France next weekend for almost 3 weeks.
I'm tempted to do an overnight trip. Spend a day in the library getting a few church records and then a day (or half) in a graveyard.
