The article in the Rochdale Observer says:
Thornber, who is still living, graduated as an engineer, but, finding the huge drawing office at the engineering factory where he worked was stifling his individuality and inquisitiveness, he returned to an isolated farmhouse near Burnley to combine the historical and the scientific or technical, exploring Lancashire’s industrial archaeology

It refers to Titus Thornber who I thought had died some years ago?

Think I might have located a copy of his book, History of Cliviger. Well, I have placed an order, just hope the site I ordered from is kept up-to-date and that it is actually in stock!

I got it through our local library a while ago. You can see where Roger got his ideas for the layout of his book from.

I had a glance at it in Burnley library on Friday and thought that Gloria. Is it any good?

I also have my eye on another book at the moment but I am keeping quiet about which it is until it is confirmed as mine. The shop is shut today so I have to wait until tomorrow before I can do anything about it :( It's going to be an early birthday present.

It's not that expensive so I don't mind really.

I was up on Friday. Spent the day in Burnley library with Kris. We were not sure what we would be doing to begin with on account of the weather but decided to stick with the library for the day.

Mine hasn't :(
Mind you, I took the supersaver free delivery option. It quotes 4-5 days for delivery.
