Hi

I've come to a standstill with this part of my family tree and wonder if there is anyone who can help? I have tried Ray Duerden without success.

I am researching the following Burrows / Duerden family.

William Burrows born about 1801 in Briercliffe married in 1836 Mary Duerden born about 1807 in Marsden. I'm not sure Mary's maiden name was Duerden as she may have been a widow at the time of the marriage. William died in 1873 and Mary in 1870 both in the workhouse.

Children: James 1838-1903, Thomas 1840-1909, David 1842, John 1842, Elizabeth 1844 and Henry born 1848

Any help and advice where I can find out more on their parentage and beyond would very much be appreciated.

Many thanks
Colleen

Thank you very much for this and it's very much appreciated .... .... I'm being very stupid - I've looked at the OPC but can't see anything to match this. Can you possibly point me in the right direction?

Many thanks
Colleen

Search under parish Burnley, St Peters, Marriages, index, under Burrows or Duerden.

Hope you find it !
