Always have two lean black puddings every time I go into town from the indoor market. Great with salt,vinegar and English Mustard. mmmmmmm :wink:

I prefer it with bacon and egg! Can't say I have tried it with salt and vinegar.

I like fatty black puddings with mustard--yumm.
Went out last week for a meal and had them in a tempura batter--think that is what it was---very good.

I think that if we gave too much thought to the source of what we eat then we would all be vegans. :shock:

This is very true. I have a love for foie gras but the method of it's 'creation' is not good at all.
You sent me a pic of the first spring lambs last week David, my first thought was how cute...my second, how long before they accompany mint sauce!

Yes Mel and my daughter informed me that the numbers that they paint on lambs denote the order that they are sent to the abbatoir.
Lamb is one meat that I very very rarely eat.

I am in complete agreement with you Gloria.
I won't buy it but I don't refuse it if offered to me when out.

I've eaten horse, found out after I had eaten it---it was quite good actually, had it in France.
Eaten dog in China, they told us it was chicken, that was quite good as well.
I would not have eaten either had I known.
What is not good is that we have horses, dogs and cats----wonder when I will find cat on the menu?????

That was how I ended up eating foie gras. I thought it was paté. It was New Years Eve a few years ago. We went to a party in France and it was a set menu. The paté was on crackers and served while everyone arrived. We had a tray of shellfish that I skimped on...I had the prawns but nothing else. Can't remember all the courses but there were about 7 or 8. We had lobster - wouldn't bother with that again, very over-rated. We had foie gras again but this time served as a liver, lightly fried. I was told by our friends what I had eaten once I had eaten it. It was a case of try it and then we will tell you. We also had boar that night.
