Post subject:  French National Archives

I have received an email today...the shortened version is

French National Archives website that has all of the N African civil records online from 1830 - 1904. These are actual images of the document.
Other colonies around the world are listed but only Algerie is currently accessible. The site is all in French. I suggest when you get to the search page, that you only put a surname in the field labeld Nom(s) . Then hit the LANCER LA RECHERCHE button to begin a search of that surname for the entire colony. When you pull up an image you can zoom in but the only way I can see to capture the image is to hit the PRINT SCREEN button and then paste it (Ctrl V) into Word or some image software or an email like below (or attached).
This is really the most unprecedented access to civil records that I've ever seen online.
