There is an item in this weeks Burnley Express (tues 25th March) about a Bible found during a house clearance. The family name on the front of the book is Cryer and it dates from 1808. It contains Cryer family names from 1808 to 1870 and mentions Fence, Damhead and Lower Harpers. Mrs Chesbrough, the lady who has found the bible, is keen to pass it on to someone with connections to the Cryer family. Her phone number is in the paper.
