Shrewsbury, May 4 On Saturday se'nnight, about five o'clock in the morning, the Factory belonging to Peel, Yates, and Co. at Burnley, caught fire; occasioned by one of the work people having carelessly left some chips to dry near the Steam Engine, which communicated to the Factory, and was entirely burnt down before it could be extinguished. -The damage is estimated at 10,000l. and we are sorry to say, that only 5000l. of which was insured. -It is likewise much to be lamented, that on account of the above accident happening, it has been the occasion of depriving nearly 800 persons of employment.
